I've had a lot of cute pictures that I've been meaning to post for awhile now. So I decided to do a 'this year so far' post. So... this year so far...

We wrecked our cute green car (not our fault) and replaced it with the exact car, only blue. Thankfully, the insurance was really good and we didn't loose much in the whole ordeal.

I made some cute bean dip for the superbowl. We went to a small party at a friends house. We brought it and I think Calder and I ended up eating almost all of it ourselves. Yum!
(and yes, the sour cream football on top did make it taste better)
We bought a 6 game package to the Timberwolves games. As you can see, our seats were nothing to be proud of but we still had a lot of fun. The team is so terrible they actually gave away some more tickets (which were a lot better than our original ones) so we had better seats to a few more games.
I made gumbo and it turned out DELICIOUS! I was scared of burning it so I had the heat for the roux a lot lower than probably necessary, so it took forever. In the end, it was all worth it. I sat on the counter and stirred, stirred, stirred while Calder kept having to bring me water because it was burning up in there. Notice the cute apron I got for $2 at Target. You can't really tell in this picture, but the red parts are heart shaped pockets.
We survived -13 degree weather. Notice that this wasn't the temperature in the middle of the night, it was 11:05 in the morning. Sadly enough, I don't think this was as bad as it got.
Along those same lines, snow. Lots of snow. It snowed mid-December and didn't melt until a few weeks ago. I loved when the snow was pretty and fresh, but wasn't as thrilled once it got dirty and icy.
Easter!
April Fools Day!
I tried to buy curlers for my hair. Once I took them out, my hair was just as straight as it was before. No curl at all, not a single one. I then bought a curling iron (yeah, I didn't have one before.) which worked a little better, but the curls still fell about an hour later.

Calder shaved. He had cut it into some weird beard which wasn't very professional the day before an interview, so he had to cut it all off. It's all grown back by now of course, but I'm looking forward to working at the temple together - he'll have to be clean shaven for that!

And finally, this was taken yesterday. That's right, April 26. I know it's not much snow, I got out after most of it melted (there was about an inch covering everything) but it's more the fact that snow can still happen in late April that amazed me. I've decided this is probably the last snow of the year.
